Community Tasting Notes 37

July 23, 2023 - 90 minute decant before drinking. Rich dark berry, with some licorice emerging after another hour. Still plenty fresh—has enough acidity to keep going for a few more years. Reads as 14.8% alcohol but seems to be a bit higher, which became more noticeable toward the end of the bottle.

July 9, 2023 - Similar to my note from last year, Perhaps the food or the company made the wine taste better. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, a touch of licorice, wood, coffee leading to a moderate to long finish.

December 21, 2022 - Similar to my note from last month except this was somehow a better bottle. Perhaps the food or the company. We had to PNP at lunch. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, a touch of licorice, wood, coffee leading to a moderate to long finish. I have one bottle left and I will definitely hold it and decant it as I believe that will raise the score.

November 8, 2022 - We had to PNP at lunch. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, a touch of licorice, wood, coffee leading to a moderate to long finish. Decanting or aeration would have definitely raised the score.

August 21, 2022 - Consistent with our previous bottle - another crowd pleaser.
