  May 3, 2019 - This was drunk 8 days ago in Rotterdam. Genesis of the occasion was an Austrian who lived across the street from my sister- and brother-in-law wanted to make Spätzle for us. Austrian? Making Spätzle? What's up with that anyway? The thought of a heavy Käsespätzle made with probably lousy ingredients didn't sound great, but luckily she said she didn't have time. We, in the meantime, had thought of ways of lightening up the dish, and Sietze even suggested going with a risotto. Yes, a lovely spring risotto instead! We ended up improvising with peas, green asparagus and lemon zest for the risotto.
  The Teschke 2016 grüner Sylvaner 'Ohne Grenzen' was a lovely accompaniment to it. Floral and a hint of grassiness on the nose, light on the palate with mineral and a touch of citrus and a bit of roundness as well. Altogether just a bit more than the sum of its parts. Excellent. And thanks @lukeintowine for arranging the tasting with the mad genius a few days previous!

  October 1, 2018 - Organic treatment, over 50 years old vineyard. 11% alcohol. Light, yet rich, sappy. Fruity, with good mineral spine. Good everyday light wine.
