  January 31, 2020 - Fruit forward, medium-low acidity and long finish. Flavors of ripe and overripe plum and tart cherries. As I'm sitting with this glass a bit longer, I understand where another taster picked up mostly "cough syrup." This is a richer bodied wine than a typical Pinot and its somewhat hot finish lingers. This is a decent casual drinking wine but I wouldn't serve it at a dinner. I think this wine may have lost some of its structure.

  February 14, 2019 - Beautiful medium crimson color and promising complex nose of ripe raspberries, blackberry, with a hint of chocolate that led to a disappointing palate. The dominant taste is that of cough drops. We debated whether the cough drop taste is wild cherry or wild berry and decided it is wild berry. Is it residual or added sugar? A wine for beginners. Slickly marketed, the wine compares favorably to those bulk five buck a bottle offerings such as Blackstone or Gallo Family, though we’d give the edge to Gallo Family. Did we mention syrupy?
