August 16, 2022 - Nice example of its type, and still showing well. Nose cranberry, sour cherry, mineral, herbal and black pepper. Palate still fresh, nicely acidic, good fruit, tastes riper than its nose. Moderately long finish. A tad spicy.

December 1, 2021 - Really nice wine - pretty typically for mondeuse. Nose spicy, cranberry, apple, black pepper, rose, blackberry. Palate well balanced with great acid backbone and some minerals, supporting a moderate level of fruit of moderate length. This is not a "great" wine in the classical sense, but a very well made "honest" expression of varietal and terroir. This is a very appealing produce for the table or appetizers.

September 13, 2021 - not bad. a bit like a cru beaujolais in character, but higher acid, less dense than a moulin a vent or something. kinda meaty, def peppery, but all said nothing super special. just solid french red wine.

    okay value.

May 27, 2021 - Russk. Andrea brought to CDC at the Ramen place. I agree with Winepeg below, and would add this. Strong white pepper notes. Blind I thought it was a Listan Negro or a Riberia Sacra. Not my favorite aromatic profile. But the wine was poised and enjoyable. From Garagiste.

January 14, 2020 - Medium black-red, nose spicy, peppery sour crabapple and cranberry. Palate well balanced, delivers big fresh fruit, great acid and mineral backbone, black pepper. Classic mountain red, great with food.

January 2, 2020 - Very pleasant--sharp acidity, some fruit, but with a much more bity finish than you'd expect.
