September 14, 2021 - Pop and pour. Better than my previous btls, but still very ripe. On the nose: smoke, cherry pit, va, dense black raspberry, moderated by some wild strawberry. On the palate: ok acidity, soft tar, inky, spicy black fruit, and soft tannin on the finish. Doesn't really betray the ABV on the palate, but this is undoubtedly Beaujolais in the era of climate change....A little too sloppy for my tastes.

August 24, 2020 - On the nose: dense black cherry and cherry pit. On the palate, good acidity, black cherry, stewed confit tomatoes, tomato leaf, cherry pit, liqueur, good density, but the flavors are meant to indicate this is out of balance, very soft tannin on the tangy, spicy finish that betrays the ABV. Not bad, but perhaps the previous btl was better.

March 19, 2019 - Am I reading this label right? 14.5% abv? Whoa. It doesn't show heat on the palate, but this is definitely a ripe wine. Pure sweet strawberry on the nose, with a touch of herbs, and a medicinal/stemmy note peers through. On the palate, very dense and ripe for a beaujo, loads of wild strawberry and sweet raspberry, but more medicinal herbs. Juicy, almost jammy finish, with some finely grained tannin. Hmm.

Day 2: Almost soupy, and seems to lack delineation. If this is representative, as the ABV suggests it will be, then drink young.

February 12, 2019 - Fruity, dark, sightly tannic. A wonderful and dense surprise. Great with sisig.
