November 22, 2023 - Long-overdue dinner with Nel & Illy (Theirs): Decanted. Rich rose-gold colour, enticing nose, really compelling on the palate. G loved. Worth seeking out.

May 29, 2014 - Champagne: grasso ma fresco, rosa, dolce di frutto, segue bocca ricca e glicerica con una piacevole freschezza fruttata. Non un campione di complessità ma piacevole. pulito.

February 4, 2014 - Bone dry, very lean and elegant. Nose of yeast. Not much fruit. I was a little overwhelmed then and would like to try again soon.

February 17, 2013 - Dry, slight butter, toast-like notes with tangy/musty nose. This is a nice distinct champagne, but a bit too dry for my taste.

October 7, 2010 - Very distinctive colour, disturblingly reminiscent of something I regularly observe in the smallest room of my house in a private context. Weak bubbles. Little aroma, a sort of closed and musty fruit salad. The taste is a lump of dosage-sweetness, which does not persist in any way to the short, vaguey stale finish. I guess mainly pinot noir, and remember why Hugh Johnson describes Aube PN as "rustic". This wine claims to be the "first biodynamically produced Champagne" on the back label. It is neither a good advertisement for its terroir, nor for the theories of Herr Steiner. Absurdly overpriced at nearly 18 Euros for 37,5 cl retail. 82P

December 31, 2008 - This is great stuff. Yeast, Brioch. Great texture and complxity. A pleasure to drink. Had some left in the bottle (pressurized) and tried it a couple days later and it held up great.
