January 24, 2023 - Kept getting better and better. Deep, long flavors of black fruits, mocha, wild berry and game, with a touch of umami on the back end. Drink slowly, or with a decant, or hold to 2025-2030.

No Syrah characteristics at this point; it's almost like a blood orange. I wonder if there was just a touch of secondary fermentation. Definitely holding other bottles but I have no idea where this is going.

November 5, 2018 - No notes. Tasted at Keplinger downtown tasting room. Wow this wine is really well built with great balance and a wonderful glimpse into the future. Like the Sumo, this wine is already approachable yet will benefit greatly from time in the cellar. This is a wine that will be wonderful to open each year to follow the progress in itself development. Another really well done wine by Helen. 93+
