March 20, 2017 - Close to my preferred profile of shiraz. Some grip not all jammy.
Copy and pasted barrel monkey review because they were drank same night and I like them the same, but this is slightly lighter bodied maybe due to the age and slightly less tannic also.

November 14, 2011 - I bring this wine out to go with Willy's baby back ribs. Shiraz and barbecue really is about the best match one can make for Shiraz, in my book. The huge fruit forward nature is a good match for the sweetness of barbecue sauce. Without the sauce and the meat, Shiraz from Aussie and Syrah from US is generally just too over the top in fruit for me. The grape expresses a more complex nature and has a more interesting variation when built in the Rhone region and blended with Grenache, at least for me.

April 18, 2011 - Quintessential shiraz with lots of raspberry and blueberry on nose and palate. A little spice on the nose, not so much on the palate. It is a bit too sweet for me, but I thought it was well balanced with smooth tannins. A good wine for the price.

December 18, 2010 - Dark plum color with ruby edges. Pretty nose of smoke, earth & red plum. Very lifted, slightly floral & nice. Soft entry of lush red plum with a green herb edge. Black fruit melts into a nice bright finish that features elements of smoked meat. Very well done.

August 3, 2010 - Much better than the first bottle I had of this a couple of years ago. The extra aging time really helped the fruit mature. It was still intense and jammy, but a solid in your face Shiraz without any weakness on the palate, or tartness on the finish.

February 22, 2010 - In-laws gave as a gift, claimed it was 92 in WS. Kept waiting for it to open up but just fell flat.

January 15, 2010 - Beautiful color and a nose full of licorice, anise, and oak. Has good weight and fruit on the palate, but way too much heat on the end. Just can't get by the heat. Have had many better shiraz's for less.

January 5, 2010 - Disappointing. Flat and unremarkable. Not as much fruit as expected.
