November 7, 2011 - Opened in honor of Tewksbury Wine Society co-founder TL, recently departed, who gave this to me when he moved here from Virginia, partly as a joke, saying "It's not actually bad." Cloudy ruby color. Light bodied. Don't get much in the nose, but good raspberry fruit on the palate, but still somewhat tannic and acidic. But a finish that lingers a bit. Wherever you are, Tom, let me also say, "It's not actually good, either!" We'll be thinking of you at the tasting of Piedmontese upcoming.
