May 27, 2017 - Amber, off-dry now, almost like a desert wine. Should have opened it a decade ago. Really wanted to like this, but nope.

October 29, 2016 - Scholium retrospective with Abe. I loved this. The age has given it depth to go with the Botrytis. A bitter edge on it when young is gone. White fruit, tart citrus, a bit of the tropics. One of my two or three favorites of the night. I wish I had more.

July 23, 2011 - After two of these that tasted cooked this one was great. Seem to have pick up even more weight.

November 1, 2010 - Scholium Tasting (Trestle on Tenth, NYC): after the Riquewihr, this one fell on the interesting side of the "interesting" vs "strange" tug-of-war. Honey, citrus, white flowers, and tree sap. sweet nose but dry palate. fascinating.

November 1, 2010 - Scholium Off-Line (Trestle on 10th (NYC)): Probably my white WOTN. Really interesting. Very nice nose. Sweet spice, orange peel and big citrus fruit. Very nice weight on the palate. This stood up very well. Nice acidity. This had the lip smacking juicy appeal, but very nice complexity and development.
