July 20, 2023 - This was excellent. Stone fruit - peaches. Some berries as well, along with earth and spices. This aged really well and was delightful at 6.5 years old.
October 24, 2021 - Cork was leached, but the bottle was not spoiled
Plums, dried herbs, cherries, and black tea. The wine is medium-bodied, supple and succulent, with fine tannins.
Paired wonderfully with ribeye that had Tom Douglas's Rub w/ Love.
September 23, 2021 - A nose of black cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with black cherry, raspberry, licorice and spices on finish, a very delicious Zin. www.winelx.com
July 2, 2021 - Cool earthy aromas, some mint, blueberry, crushed stone
On the palate I'm ambivalent if not intrigued. Big and bolt massively ripe- huge red fruit and after a few days of being open this shows a large amount of milk chocolate, intermittent blasts of heat, mint with chunky threads of spicy peppery flavors throughout.
I like how challenging the Turley wines I've had have been so far so I'll keep buying them.
December 20, 2020 - Rich long finish would buy again
Cork was soft could have spoiled
April 21, 2020 - I like this about as much as I did in the tasting room. Despite the high alcohol it's savoury, light on its feet, nicely aromatic, and with some earth to round it out. I suspect I'd like it even more at, say, 14.2% instead of 15.2%, but so it goes with Lodi.
July 13, 2019 - Deep garnet, followed by ample, plush dark fruits, spice and even a tea note. Full-bodied, a bit rustic--great pair with some BBQ.

June 5, 2019 - Up the PCH; 6/4/2019-6/16/2019 (Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez, Paso Robles, Napa, and Willamette): Really liked this one. Very complex, different than the Paso and Sonoma ones tasted after.
May 6, 2019 - Wine Institute of California & Perswijn (Amsterdam): From everything a bit more than the Old vines Zinfandel, floral bouquet, good aftertaste, but in between slightly disjointed.
