In a beautiful spot now, one of the most expressive wines I’ve tasted this year.

September 4, 2021 - Day 1: One of the more unique wines from Washington I have tasted but delicious. Heavy perfumed wine featuring bramble, green olives, rose petals, iron, spices, smoked meat and Garrigue. Medium plus finish. 92 points

Such an interesting wine. So many different aromas and flavors.
August 17, 2021 - Agreed with many reviews
Light Ruby Color
Aromas of bright, fresh red fruits cherry, strawberry, spices, black pepper, olive.
Flavors were initially attractive — but wine morphed into a tough, bitter, steel wool finish that lingered throughout the meal. The finish tasted like CAMPARI — I thought I was drinking a Negroni.
As wine opened up, it never really evolved.
It didn’t pair well with any dish, and bitterness of the finish clobbered each mouth full.
I tried to like this wine, but I just never enjoyed it and regretted my choice.
July 14, 2021 - Day 1: Fragrant just like all the other bottles. Unique is a good way to describe this wine. Not everyone will like it but I love it. Floral, minerals, spice, smoked bacon and olives. Medium plus finish. 92 points
Day 2: Holding form and adds some soy sauce. Love the smoked bacon and olive combo. Medium finish. Lacks a bit of acidity as the only flaw on this wine. Again unique. 92 points
Day 3: Little less intensity and very nice. Floral, raspberries, smoked meats, black olives and minerals. Very nice finish. This is not for everyone but very unique wine as mentioned. 92 points
Recommendation: If you like Smith's style you will enjoy this wine.
June 27, 2021 - I will confess that I struggled with this one. A highly rated wine from a superstar producer, but for me it didn't deliver. The wine is light in color and starts well with a nose of fresh red fruit, with strawberry predominant. In many ways it's reminiscent of a cool climate pinot noir. On the palate it offers more red fruit, especially cranberry, but towards the end an unpleasant bitterness takes over and lingers well after the finish. If bitter is your thing, this will hold some appeal. I found it very off-putting. Tasted twice, over two days with consistent notes.
June 19, 2021 - Beautiful example of a Grenache... needs 2 to 3 more years
