January 5, 2024 - This is still drinking very well. Softened slightly.
I note the other relatively negative comments, but I still enjoyed this wine and believe that it has another 2-3 years of drinking.

August 17, 2023 - Very mediocre. There’s not enough of anything to make it memorable. I opened an older one earlier tonight - past its prime. This one never had a prime. May work as a white wine spritzer? Will try that shortly.

    July 8, 2023 - It's just ok.

Have to look up what "Reserve" means in Alsace.
( It turns out, from what I can find, that "Reserve" in Alsace simply means they choose better grapes "!! Nothing more? Obviously a marketing thing and, unless it gets to a Reserve Reserve ( no, there isn't such a thing), be aware for what you're paying.

    Muted nose is pale straw
    Lemon pear flint mild peach

    Dry-off dry
    Light medium body
    High alcohol
    Medium acid
    No tannin
    Viscous, nice legs & tongue/palate envelopement.Fat?
    Short, unfortunate finish 20-30 seconds

Good wine, but this isn't for cellaring, though I can understand why one would think it could be saved for a while.

Trimbach had been making wine, the label says, for over 4 CENTURIES! On this occasion, with this bottle, it misses the mark, in my opinion. Maybe it's aged too quickly? Who knows..
But, I've had many Trimbach wines and they usually exhibit their know-how better than this sample.

    On to the next.

    Pinot Gris 100%
    13.4% abv

    PS- Drink The Rainbow!

    February 25, 2022 - Medium gold.
This has improved since tasted in 2020.
    Peach, grapefruit aromas.
Medium bodied, ripe tropical fruits palate.
    13.5% abv.
Interesting to see how this evolves over the next 2/3 years.

Balanced fruit ripeness and acidity. Length is optimal pushing rich ripe flavors of fine intensity to a complex layered conclusion.
Outstanding quality wine of focused fruit.
    Like it.

Not suitable for ageing. The acidity will fall and I’m not sure this is going to improve in the short term.

November 3, 2021 - My first Pinot Gris from Alsace. My wine store recommended it. Really like the Riesling-style Petroleum nose with a hint of yeast. The palate has steel, sour peach, and hint of fading bitterness. Like it.

October 31, 2021 - Light yellow towards white; flinty and chalky with some sweetness; nice and rank, on the light side with some sweetness; very likeable, light, straightforward, little complexity; also tasted Reserve Personnelle same year, which was richer and more complex; none better than the other, just different
