April 18, 2023 - I let it breathe for 2 hours. Still with fruit. Aging tannins. Very enjoyable, but will not improve further; drink if you have it.
June 18, 2021 - Not complex but still alive. Had a more dramatic nose than taste.

March 18, 2016 - It is a big surprise after the previous bottle which was closed. Fruit is mostly gone. Medium to full bodied, tobacco, pencil with a smooth long finish.
February 4, 2013 - Direkt after opening the bottle there was a rich bouquet of fruits and a delicious taste with a fine structure of tannins. A very good wine compatible to cold dinner with different dishes, especially cheese. After standing for 3 hours the wine looses the fine structure and tastes me no longer. So my tip: drink the wine after opening, then you have a very good wine!
July 22, 2011 - This bottle, upon opening, just begins to show that it is opening up a bit, showing tightly packed loads of pencil lead and cedar box on a background of full bodied fruit that is mouth filling, with a long finish. After an hour or two in the decanter, tannins that were present sweeten and soften up, leaving a very very nice package with solid primary and secondary notes. Pretty good now, with potential upside over the next 5 years. This bottle was kept from release in an actively cooled cellar.
I am surprised at the prior tasting notes posted here that look so much worse, but this wine was clearly closed down for a number of years and appears to final ly be opening up and blossoming into something beautiful.
August 1, 2009 - Not a bad bottle. Medium to full bodied, dark fruits and a long aftertaste. Slightly acidic.
August 31, 2008 - Nice, if unremarkable, Bdx. Medium bodied and somewhat restrained. Dark fruits and earth. Good balance. Bdx fans are likely to enjoy, new worlders not so much.
January 6, 2008 - Deep rich burgundy in color. Flavors of chocolate, cherries but also earthy with a hint of pepper on the finish.
