April 11, 2022 - Definitely better than my last bottle 2 years ago. Nice depth of fruit and silky mouthfeel. Juicy lively finish. Fragrant. Cwertsinly worth $35.

May 2, 2021 - Popped and poured...no different than previous bottles...decent fruit, but lacking in richness...held up well with red meat.

    January 27, 2021 - Wish I’d bought 2 cases of this.

    Christopher Tynan “Le Sucrier Velours”
    Red Wine No. 1516
    Winery: Christopher Tynan
Varietal: Syrah Bennett Vineyard 58%, Cabernet Sauvignon 42% Meleagris Gallopovo Vineyard
    Area/Appellation: 42% Napa County, 58% Sonoma County
Vintage: N/A Price: $35 Direct from Winery
    Color: Dark ruby/purple
    Legs: slow to medium
Nose: dark brooding black fruits, black and white pepper, saddle leather,
    oolong tea, Turkish spices, smoke,
Palate: Huge swath of blackberries followed by black currants, cassis and gobs
of black and white pepper, more smoke
Finish: Syrah dominates and Cabernet smooths things out, some dried meaty notes
reminiscent of bacon fat with the white and black pepper of the Syrah dominating.
Comments: 3.5 to 4 hour decant and still kind of closed. If it were me, I would do a reverse style with Cabernet dominating the blend.
But I still liked this style.
Pairing Suggestions: lamb shanks, pork tenderloin
Score in terms of Vintage: N/A
    Score for the Wine: 92
Value for the Money: Very Good to Excellent
    Date Tasted: 07/11/2020

April 15, 2020 - This was still fantastic, but when compared to the bottle from a year and change ago, it seems this one was a bit more closed down. Will hold my other two remaining bottles for 2-3 years minimum.
