November 30, 2019 - Lovely nose. Fruity. Red berries on the palate. Wonderfully balanced with a fairly long taste.

September 6, 2019 - Initially close, tight and bitter, after an hour of air it opened up. Dark cherry, raspberry, milk chocolate, dusty earth, cinnamon and vanilla, great balance. Very good example of a new world Grenache.

June 6, 2019 - Up the PCH; 6/4/2019-6/16/2019 (Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez, Paso Robles, Napa, and Willamette): Extra 4 months in barrel over the standard (22 mo. vs 18 mo.) 100% Grenache.

Very nice representation of a single varietal grenache, but not as good as the later tastings in the day. Dark fruit, leather notes, good fruit.

March 29, 2019 - Leather and new tennis ball (pleasant) on the nose. Dark fruit and balanced acidity and tannins. So young it took 2.5 hours in a decanter to open up. Fruit tannins hang on to draw out the dark fruit and cherry flavors.

February 25, 2019 - Booker Tasting at Taylor's Wine Shop: WOTN for me. Extra 4 months in barrel over the standard (22 mo. vs 18 mo.) The extra time does give it more wood, more tannin, and more grip. A massive wine it desperately needs some time in bottle to settle down. Tertiary leather, floral, and more tannin than the standard.
