March 31, 2024 - Still holding up well. Nice amount of citrus, but not harsh.
March 21, 2024 - Comparable to a bottle from a few years ago. Top notch!
March 20, 2022 - Very Burundian. Deep and rich nose with lemon and apple. Medium body, very crisp, good structure, moderate oak, no or minimal malocatic fermentation? If you think Aubert is the pinnacle of Chardonnay, you'll probably be disappointed with this wine. But if you think Drouhin or Coche-Dury is, then you're going to like this.
March 4, 2022 - Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 is a very good wine.
I was curious to read some comments that this wine was oaky.
This bottle was not at all. In fact, it was sort of spicy, a bit unusual for a CA chard, at least in my experience.
No drama here, just a solid CA chard.
I have no idea what the future might hold, but the present is fine.
October 18, 2021 - Wood, wood and more wood. Sour lemon. No thanks
May 15, 2021 - Cloudy in the glass. Taste throws you with tart/ sour apple. If served blind, you may think it is a Sauvignon Blanc not a Chardonnay. Tried on its own. Next time will try with food.
December 24, 2020 - Comes off as tart for my palate. Sour apple jumps out and never integrates into a pulled together effort. Short finish.
October 17, 2020 - Excellent white wine.
Clean and crisp.
Good with seafood.
