July 24, 2021 - Dark fruit up front. Good mouth feel with sweet oak. Tannins well integrated. Very smooth and approachable now. Good fighting grade Cali Cab.

November 29, 2020 - Needs a good decant and could benefit from longer.

August 22, 2020 - Steady and consistent. Decent PnP but it’s getting on the more expensive side.

August 21, 2020 - This was very good after decanting about an hour and a half. I had bought two bottles after having it at a dinner (and I remembered liking it). However, my impression is that while it’s good, there are too many options in this price range to consider (I paid $56). For instance, my thoughts are, do I spend an extra $10 and drink Trilogy or Jayson Pahlmeyer Cab, or do I save about $10-$15 and drink a Montelena or a Groth? All four of which I think I’d prefer over this. I have one more bottle that I’ll try down the road and perhaps my opinion may change.

July 10, 2020 - A bit disjointed but has promise. This second label of Odette offers much of the Stags Leap including the astringency and spice. After an hour this opens nicely to reveal bright red fruit, baking spice and grippy tannins. Full bodied with a medium finish. With a another couple of years, this will be a very strong value.

June 13, 2020 - First trying of this wine. Impressions are impressive. Quite aromatic, in that, the fruits jump into the nose. On the palette a little bit of a let down but equally fruit filled. Blueberry jumps forward with some cherry in mouth ..... initially. The mid palette is all black cherry and an acidIc reaction to go with it. Finish is fruit laden and "Merlot" like velvety.

Well made and a fascinating output for $70. Probably not a great QPR but worth finding.
