March 31, 2022 - Sponges cork. Didn’t taste right. Down the drain. My first bad Nivicium!

  • JDHIRES Likes this wine: 95 points

February 12, 2022 - Very smooth and great depth. Dark fruit, blackberry on the nose. Baking spices and hint of caramel on the pallet. Outstanding wine and will continue to age and drink beautifully next few years.

December 12, 2021 - Incredibly balanced. Deep Ruby color, nose filled with dark fruit, slight minerality and hint of cassis. On the palate some gentle baking spice, cinnamon and clove. Surprisingly smooth tannins. Beautiful wine

  • MC2 Wines Likes this wine:

January 10, 2019 - Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): Very different from the last two vintages which had hefty amounts of cab franc. These are the new plantings (6 years old) and then a blend across all of them. Cab dominant, but CF and Merlot still there. I thought this was a very bright wine. The fruits jumped out of the glass. Mostly darker in style. Lots of black cherry which I also got on the 'main wine'. Touch of spice. It's certainly very drinkable and fairly easy to drink now although if it were me I'd by laying this down for at least a bit.
