April 11, 2015 - Surprised...decanted for about an hour and it came out still showing very well with nice dark plum & cherry plus definite leafy notes, almost like dry eucalyptus. Colour is fading a bit and there was significant sediment in the bottle. A bit of leather and dark chocolate on the back end supported by very nice acidity. Will be looking for some more bottles

February 12, 2012 - Crazy nose on this bad boy. Dirty, minty, chocolatey, with a redhot (the candy) overtone. Really plummy and minty taste with some cinnamon. The finish is über smooth as the tannins are totally resolved. This is a funky little wine that may not appeal to everyone, but I really like it. Pull out the bass, start slappin', and make my funk L'e funk.

August 28, 2011 - Really nice cork. Excellent bottle condition overall. Could have been an '05.
Color showing a bit of age. Still lots of life left though.
A little rustic raspberries, cherries and old leather and dried leaves. Old dirty wood.
Still New World styling but showing Old World action on the back end.
Great acidity. Loss of some of the blue fruit from years in the bottle.
Leaner finish but showing great balance and precision.

February 28, 2011 - Even though it can drive now, this is still drinking fine- on a pnp bright cherries & cranberries on the nose & palate. As it's sat open for an hour, some of the fruit has made way to a chocolate/dried leaf/brush component. Still an acidic kick and pleasant finish.

September 18, 2005 - The fruit is beginning to fade, though with about 30 minutes of air still showed nice balance and mouth feel.
