February 2, 2023 - Hard to find an Australian Cab Frac this good. Drank beautifully at first open and then opened up to another level over the next few hours. It certainly has many years ahead but drinking so well now.

August 25, 2022 - This is drinking superbly at the moment. Many years left, but very hard to resist right now. An outstanding wine.

October 8, 2021 - 16 Blue Poles Reserve Cab Franc
Would have liked more time with this wine, an (unfair) pop and pour to sub for a sadly spoiled Etna Rosso.

This is the second straight cab franc I’ve had from Margaret River in recent times to really impress the strong match between region and variety.

Barely opened up in the two hours we had with this, this is a well made medium to full bodied wine with excellent balance and very good length. It just needs more air or time for the detail to emerge. It has the purity. Very good to excellent at this stage, it’s certainly too young. 92 with a big plus, would love to see this again in 5 years.

July 25, 2021 - Having Pork Shoulder for dinner tonight so i thought time to review this wine from this Good producer of this variety. Cabernet Franc
On opening we have nice black core in colour with a deep ruby rim at July 2021. excellent
On opening again we have ripe black fruits of blueberry and blackcurrant leaping out of the glass with nice integrated oak . v/good and no green characters here which is super for this variety.
Again on the palate we have sweet fruit upfront, rich but maturing mid palate richness with still strong tannins on the black palate which need to soften before its fully mature but otherwise nice wine for the style. Still balance not quite right, the only negative QPR $40 is about right and perfect with sweet meats best.

July 28, 2020 - Beautiful wine. Plenty of forward fruit flavours and a lovely soft finish.
