June 27, 2019 - Not sure I agree about an unforthcoming nose it has a mineral stony nose I associate with the Len de LElh grape but otherswise I agree with Gout’s note a serious SW France white

May 11, 2019 - A blend of organically farmed Loin de l'Oeil (80%) and Sauvignon Blanc (20%) co-fermented in French oak and acacia barrels (10% new). 13% alcohol.

Intense and moderately deep greenish-yellow color. Quite sweet-toned yet still somewhat damp and un-fruity nose with aromas of herbal grassy greenness, some wool, a little bit of ripe yellow berries, light floral tones and a hint of hay. Nothing particularly captivating here. The wine is medium-to-moderately full-bodied yet rather heavy and oily on the palate with somewhat dull flavors of wool, hay, some wildhoney, a little bit of mealy red apples, a hint of wet stones and a touch of savory spice. Overall the wine feels relatively evolved for its age - not particularly aged, but as if having lost its fruit. The rather modest acidity really doesn't lend much freshness or intensity to the wine. The finish is long yet somewhat dull with flavors of wool, hay, some ripe apple fruit, a little bit of slivered almonds and a hint of stony minerality.

A dull and not particularly interesting Gaillac white that feels like it is lacking both in fruit and in acidity. The wine is all about non-fruit flavors resulting in a somewhat flabby and quite underwhelming wine with emphasis on not-that-attractive notes of wool, hay and vague woody character. I doubt any aging will make this wine any better than it is now. Not really worth the price at 15€.

February 16, 2019 - A light gold colour, good legs, nose unforthcoming, nicely balanced palate, full, flavouty wine with a longish finish. Best with food.
