November 20, 2023 - Excellent
Another nice showing from this wine with varietal-place typicity but with hints of pencil led and nice dark fruits.
What a fine deal this was at $16 USD six years ago even though the reason was sad - liquidation of the producer's assets after failing to recover from the Great Recession.

February 20, 2022 - Excellent-, lovely, perfectly aged, typical, drank well over two nights. Paired great with a cast iron hanger steak and also worked well with a creamy vegan cranberry bean and porcini mushroom dish. I didn't find the tannins particularly drying here. Nicely balanced, classic Loire just-ripeness. 12.5% abv
Though I don't sense a big hurry here, I wouldn't hesitate top open this and wouldn't expect any benefit from laying down further. -

May 9, 2020 - Drinking very well. Enjoyed with a charred Bison tri tip. 2 bottles left of the 2009.

September 8, 2019 - Glad I've got a couple more of these to try over the next few years. Spot on Bourgueil that is aging gracefully. Still has some violet but joined with a touch of dry leather. Not exactly vibrant, but the tannins are fine and it worked well with the meal. I don't know that I agree with the CT drinking window going out to 2028, but if you've got a cold cellar you could probably get close.
