January 1, 2024 - Floral with a hint of chemically wax on the nose. Slightly sharp on the palate. Not as good as the 2020 or 2013. Wouldn’t choose this for my desert wine.

November 16, 2023 - Constantia's Vin de Constance as others have observed is both a striking swine and a strikingly consistent one. I admire rather than love it, the deliberately non botrytis approach is a reason for that. This is very youthful and will improve.

November 15, 2023 - Explosive nose with orange blossom, dried apricot and mango. Layers of honey, grated ginger and golden currant. Burst of fresh tangerine and orange zest on the palate. Vibrant and rich. Long, fresh finish. Delicious. Drink now or hold.

    WSET Notes:

    Deep gold.

Pronounced on the nose with orange blossom, tangerine, mango, honey, ginger, dried apricot, golden currant. Developing.

Pronounced and sweet on the palate with passionfruit and honey flavours. High acidity, high alcohol, medium plus body, long finish.

Can drink now but has potential for aging.

October 8, 2023 - Just as extraordinary as before. Was not at all harmed by leaving it sealed in the fridge for nearly two months (then left out to warm for 5 hours prior to consumption).

September 10, 2023 - Pure, clean and magically legendary wine!!
I have had this in different vintages, and it NEVER dissapoint.
Golden, brilliant color, with super delicate nose of matured apricot, honey suckle, mandarin & kumquat.
The balance of fruit and acidity is breathtaking.

One of the most consistent dessert wines on the planet, along with Yquem.

August 4, 2023 - Splendidly golden in colour. High intensity of aroma especially honey and apricot, which also follows through on the palate with pineapple and orange peel. Perfectly balanced. Sweet but never cloying. Long finish. A real treat.

March 3, 2023 - From MAG. Expressive nose of white flowers, quince, ginger and nutmeg. Very intense palate, rich sweet, unctuous with good acidity to support it. Hard to drink more than one small glass though being so rich.
