February 14, 2020 - the Cab gives this more restraint and depth. Dig it more than the Carnival of Love. Same dark raspberry and chocolate notes, but it tastes like it has less RS. 94

November 19, 2019 - Deep raspberry/blackcurrant on the nose (Ribena to those who lived in England). This is thick and lush on the palate, overwhelming cassis fruit and vanilla, lots of tannins which you don't notice because of the enormous fruit. This is a huge, hedonistic wine for people who love fruit forward, rich wines. Very long finish, mild spicy coffee notes, delicious after-taste. A very, very enjoyable wine that is expensive for me, yet clearly value if I compare it to other wines I love and can't afford (Valbuena, No 5, Glaetzer Amon Ra, Henschke Mount Edelstone, Phelps Insignia)

Note: "Fruit bomb" gets applied to many very different wines. At 3.0g/L residual sugar this bears no resemblance to Caymus (allegedly 10 g/L), which I found undrinkable.
