August 31, 2021 - Found a few of these on a DEAL recently. They'll be so much fun to enjoy on weeknights. Delicious Red Mountain fruit, and some nice barrel notes, but mostly the BANG for the BUCK! Yes!!!

Probably 2 years left of prime drinking? Maybe more. But will I wait? NO I won't.

June 6, 2021 - It was pretty tight and warm straight out of the bottle so I decanted 2 hours to let it open up. Truffle and sea salt on the nose, freshly picked (slightly underripe) raspberies and plum in the mouth. This is more delicate than I remembered from my prior bottle and not generally what I expect from chewy red mountain fruit. I found the flavors to have blended well and tannic structure holds. I recommend drinking this before 2023.

September 10, 2020 - More subtlety and balance than I have had with most quintessence or Shaw cabs

    Tobacco and blackberry, delicious

March 2, 2020 - Soft nose raspberry and rose petals. Soft tannins that don’t go sour. Medium bodied, fruit forward with a little residual earthiness at the finish.

September 29, 2019 - Still early days but approachable with a rich coq au vin

Restraint and power considerable for a (so-called) basic cab

February 11, 2019 - MNB: Washington (Home (Noe st)): (blind)
Medium ruby to a red rim.
On the nose, oak, slightly fresh, slightly stewed bell peppers, slight blackberry.

15% alcohol (actually 14.2%), elevated acid, medium plus tannins - a bit papery. Nice cedar and tobacco with ripe blackcurrant on the midpalate. Really hot though. 50% new French oak.
2014 Washington Cabernet, $60 - despite the slightly light color.

    Estimated TA: 5.8
Actually: LTL 2016 Cab Sauv red mountain red wine - Actually $30!
Analysis: This is pretty darn good!
