July 19, 2023 - Prior bottle was one year ago and my notes were very consistent. White apple, pear, citrus and floral notes on the nose. Picking up some white peach as it warms. Between light and medium bodied with white apple and white pear upfront, moving to tart, white peach through the middle. There's very good fruit expression through the middle now, very much in-line with how I hoped this wine would evolve, based on the prior bottle. Backside has acidity, tart citrus and mineral qualities which balance the mid-body fruit well. Overall, balance between fruit and structure also improved along the lines I'd hoped and justifying the score given. Should be able to maintain this level for at least another few years.

April 24, 2023 - Aging very nicely-picking up nice mineral notes.

July 15, 2022 - Prior bottle was just over a month ago, so my notes were virtually unchanged. White pear, white peach, citrus and floral notes on the nose. Nearly medium bodied with white apple and white pear upfront, leading to white peach through the middle. Lemon and other tart citrus notes plus acidity on the backside provide the structure. Overall, it did feel like in this particular bottle, balance was slightly better, particularly between the tart notes and the mid-body fruit. The white peach in this bottle was much more distinct. Should continue to evolve positively over the next few years.

June 4, 2022 - Prior bottle was 13 months ago and my notes were quite comparable. White pear and melon along with lemon and other citrus notes and floral qualities on the complex and aromatic nose. Even starts to show white peach as it warms a bit. Close to medium bodied with rounded white apple and brighter, more tart white pear upfront. It takes some time, but the mid-body has started to open up quite well with more noticeable white peach shining through the structural qualities. Lemon, lime, acidity and minerals make up the backside and finish. This wine still has a lot of tart qualities and between those and the acidity, a portion of the complexity is still concealed. Opened up well over the course of two hours, but clearly has a lot of room to continue to improve. Worth holding a bit longer given how well its coming together and a number of years ahead of it based on how well it showed tonight.

May 5, 2021 - Prior bottle was almost 13 months ago and this wine continues to show quite well. Pear and melon on the nose, along with citrus and floral qualities and then some white peach highlights. Nearly medium bodied with white apple and pear upfront. Gains density through the middle and brings in a combination of white peach and melon that meshes well with the upfront notes. Mid-body has continues to open up and gain expression and feels like it has more depth than previously. Lemon on the back is a bit more rounded than previously and lime is noticeably more distinct. Acidity is in better balance with the fruit than previously and the finish in general is better integrated with the mid-body. Very pleased with how this wine has evolved and it may end up being a slight step ahead of the 2107 Kemmeter Estate One Note riesling (from last night). I may open my next bottle as soon as Q4 2021, but failing that, will save it to taste side-by-side with the 2017 Kemmeter Estate One Note riesling in Q2 2022.
