  April 9, 2020 - Second of two bottles. Garnet with orange at rim; rim variation greater than I'd expect at this age. Slow legs. Aromas are red fruit dominant: strawberry, cherry, plus distinct soy. Also noted were subtle hints of dust, cedar and very discreet mint or eucalyptus. On the palate, red fruit is prominent and spices strengthen. Body is medium, medium +finish, polished texture, just below medium acidity. Impression: varietally correct, balanced, and more improved with an additional 7+ months of aging. At $22 with tax & shipping, QPR is average. Drink now or as late as 2022. This was a Berserker day deal and thus far we will consider future purchases, but only at a lower total price/bottle.

On the palate, red fruit is prominent and eucalyptus strengthens. Body is light/medium, long finish, linear but polished texture, just below medium acidity. Impression: varietally correct, balanced, and more complex than many Grenache wines I've had in the past. At $22 with tax & shipping, QPR is average. Drink now or as late as 2021. This was a Berserker day deal and thus far we will consider future purchases.
