March 25, 2021 - Bottle gifted by a friend (perhaps now former friend.) I have had numerous good bottles in the $15-$20 range, but this was, without a doubt, one of the worst bottles I've ever had. I took one sip and was done; the sweetness was cloying and there were no pepper or zin characteristics distinguishable behind the wall of jam, glycerin, and sugar. Without saying anything, I poured my wife a small amount and she went to the sink and spit out her first (and only) sip.
October 29, 2020 - Good value. I’d drink again.
September 1, 2020 - Jammy. If you're looking for a fruit bomb, look no further.
May 21, 2020 - The fruit and spice up front is really nice! Fun $15 bottle of wine!
May 11, 2020 - Maybe not a 92 but price adjusted even higher. Deep, rich, full bodied.
February 29, 2020 - Medium red, good fruit, fairly soft finish. Tannins just a tiny bit above what would make it a 90 for me, but quite good. Does very well on day two. Definitely repeatable.
November 16, 2019 - Very good. Very mellow flavors
October 4, 2019 - This Lodi Zinfandel is a great value at under $20 from @federalistwines.
Deep purple in color with robust aromas of blackberry, black cherry and plum.
On the palate, you experience a velvety medium body wine with lots of ripe dark fruit with hints of cola and baking spices. There is a pleasant sweetness to this wine but medium acidity keeps it in check. Medium tannins lend to long finish with a touch of lingering spices.
To sum this wine up, if I had to pick a wine to make a PBJ sandwich with this would be the one.
September 20, 2019 - Cherry, blueberry, and rosemary nose. More of the same on the palate with an earthy minerality and a bit of white peppercorns. Low rounded tannins. Medium high alcohol. Fragrant. Simple taste. Short finish.
June 26, 2019 - Nothing special or interesting about this one. Slight fruit flavor that fades quickly, little tannins balanced with slight acid.
