June 13, 2021 - PnP and it was ready to go. Unfortunately, it is past its peak. If you have this, I would suggest drinking up.

March 1, 2020 - This is a good wine primarily Cabernet Sauvignon 84% along with a blend of 6% Merlot, 5% Cab Franc 3% Petit Verdot 2% Malbec that makes for a more soft and elegant in style of wine. Soft nose with an intensely deep purple. On the palate, nice dark fruits, black cherry, blackberry and a hint of plum. Nice balanced and structure, smooth tannin but a bit soft, not as expressive as the brooding deep purple color might suggest. I would hold this wine, I feel that it still needs bottle age which is often the case with Howell Mountain fruit. At around $80+ bucks, l would probably look elsewhere. Not a bad wine, but not my preferred style.

May 10, 2019 - This was fantastic, great powerful juice and structure. At the price point, this is great value. Drinks like a wine 2-3 times the cost. Love it and will buy more.

January 26, 2019 - Dark purple and black with signature notes from Henry Brothers Ranch high up on Howell Mountain. Strong mountain fruit, lusciousness, full-bodied, really nice balance of fruit, tons of mineral and earth notes with a long, long finish. Wow.

November 20, 2018 - This rich and bold mountain Cabernet is drinking really well right now. Interestingly, I didn't love the blend, but maybe that just needed more time.

Similar notes from prior vintages, going back to the good ole Karl Lawrence days. Dark purple, black, red and a little blue which are the signature notes from Henry Brothers Ranch. Dark fruit including blackberry, blueberry, dark currants and plum. Well integrated tannins, strong mineral notes and chocolate on the finish.

Typical profile from this vineyard: High up on Howell Mountain, Henry Brothers Ranch is still unknown and only a few producers have access to the fruit. I only know of 3 but now the hunt goes on!
