August 14, 2023 - notes of cherry, pomegranate, and blueberry along with a subtle earthiness. great depth of fruit but not over-ripe. ample acidity and tannins hold it together. great mouthfeel and a nice long finish. nothing not to like here. simply a very lovely, well executed wine. hard to believe it is an entry level pinot. great qpr! still young. will open next bottle in 3 to 4 years.
July 7, 2023 - Prior bottle was a bit over 10 months ago and my notes were again quite similar. Black cherry, plum, earth and spices on the nose with a touch of vanilla behind. Medium bodied with a very similar flavor profile: black cherry upfront, adding plum through the middle as well as a bit of raspberry and then tart red cherry behind. Then minerals, spices and earth notes through the finish. Upfront, the first notes were a bit rounded than previously, but still showing nicely contrasting brightness. Similarly, the mid-body felt a touch more open and this time the raspberry note was a bit more distinct than in prior bottle (bottle variation). Backside through the finish felt a bit more integrated and generally harmonious. These positive, incremental improvements were very much in keeping with my expectations and this bottle may well have showed the best of my original six - always nice to go out on top. Should be able to maintain this level through 2024, but drinking well at present so no need to delay.
April 28, 2023 - Strong notes of ripe red cherry, on both nose and palette. Smooth with moderate finish. Very enjoyable would certainly order more from this winery.
December 6, 2022 - Drinking with friends X - The world (Bellaria (Rn)): Colore rosso granato
Naso di frutta rossa matura, piacevole, con un tocco di vegetale.
Bocca fresca, dal tannino dolce e un maturo frutto di fragola. Sfondo di vaniglia, per un insieme molto ben bilanciato. Chiusura fresco-sapida con ritorni di tannino legnoso.
August 21, 2022 - Prior bottle was 10 months ago and my notes were consistent. Black cherry and darker plum along with earth, spices, floral qualities and just a touch of vanilla on the nose. Medium bodied with black cherry upfront, showing a blend of roundness and brightness. Gains a bit more depth through the mid-body and adds some darker plum notes. Only a touch of black raspberry through the mid-body now and some red raspberry highlights towards the back. Tart black cherry along with earth, spices, minerals and balanced tannins on the back and through the finish. Especially with two hours open, the wine really comes together quite well and while the tart notes stick out just a touch when first opened, by the two hours mark they are neatly integrated and the wine shows in a very balanced fashion. Fruit still has good depth so while I don't see room for significant additional improvement, this wine should be able to hold this level for at least another couple of years and I'll save my last bottle for June/July 2023.

January 14, 2022 - We liked this from start to finish. Beautiful nose and cherry/sour cherry with raspberry, some earthiness and minerality, herb (maybe some allspice and cinnamon) nice mouthfeel and finish. Elegant Burgundian style but with new world fruit and presence; nicely executed.
