January 6, 2020 - Big Boy Pre-Christmas Bacchanalia. This wine pushed all the right buttons. Nose was spot on. Needed some air, so decanted it for 1hr. Palate: rich and rosey. Gorgeous sour cherry, and clay earth. Wonderful Sangiovese Grosso purity. Good length. I would hold this no longer than the next 4-5 years. It is at peak, in this tasters' opinion.

December 26, 2019 - Great power and balance. Decanted for an hour. Intense black cherry, black plum, red cherry, dried herbs, tobacco, graphite and a touch of oak spice. Dry, with ripe fruit consistent with the nose, med to med + acidity and tannins. Alcohol is high (14.5%) but very well integrated and unobtrusive. Seamless and silky smooth from beginning to end. Full-bodied, with med + to pronounced flavor intensity and great length. Outstanding, from a classic vintage, with several years left in its optimal drinking window. WS 96.

November 30, 2019 - Really like this wine. It’s drinking superbly. Dark violet with notes of hay, grass, earth and leather in the nose and blue and blackberries with apple, licorice and vanilla in the mouth. Well integrated tannins, medium acidity and you can feel the alcohol in the long finish. Transports you into the Tuscan harvest.

October 5, 2019 - Wasn't too accessible at first, but it balanced out after an hour or so. Then black cherry and tobacco. Even more rounded and smooth on 2nd night with little fruit dissipation. I think a solid version with a number of years left in it.

September 14, 2019 - Just delicious. Fully mature. Drink within the next few years.
