February 18, 2019 - Terrific! Wine opened up quickly. Didn’t even need to be decanted. Tannins are very well integrated and I would have to say this is ready to drink. Don’t think it gets any better but was absolutely lovely and enjoyable with the pizza and pasta dinner.

    January 14, 2019 - WOTN
    seamless and delicious
tannins have integrated so secondary notes predominate
so much blueberries but an earthy elegance too

January 1, 2019 - In my cellar since release. Decanted at 5:30 and tasted until finished around 11pm. This wine was either the WOTN or tied for such in most of our guests opinions and my favorite. Also probably the best bottle of this I have had so far. Deep and dark garnet yet giving a bright undertone in the glass. Wonderfully expressive nose of smoked chocolate, cherry and berry fruit, violets, lavender and pipe tobacco. Very rich and layered on the palate with some remaining tannic structure and good acidity. This had great balance of brightness and rich depth of flavors. Long luxurious finish. Quite lovely and given my notes so far on this wine it seems to still be improving in the cellar so give it time if your cellar conditions are good.

December 8, 2018 - Nice, drinking well, although short decant at restaurant probably wasn't sufficient & for last bottle should drink at home with a longer decant.

Prominent and familiar acidity across all vintages.

There were concerns that this bottle was showing TCA taint but I did not detect it. Similar aromas and flavors of other vintages but this stood out as having the most fine and pleasant tannic structure.
