May 22, 2020 - Wow. Probably the best young American pinot I have had in twenty years. Huge promise - in ten plus years this will be nearly perfect. An already amazing nose, red fruit, spice, mushroom, forest scents and a bunch of various funk that kept changing its expression over the hours. Wonderful mouthfeel, very lively fruit, good emerging complexity. Maybe just a tad hallow on the mid palate, but not even real sure about that. I loved it.

It is up there on the list of best PN I have ever had...and undoubtedly a wine of the year. On the nose, this is the Clos Electrique turned up: a touch of funk, bright macerated red fruit, leather, a hint of game, a touch of cracked pepper. On the palate, lovely acidity, amazing density, loads of spice cracked pepper:red-fruited and spiced goodness. Very finely grained tannin on the finish. Ok...forget the descriptors. This bottle is as close to a perfect wine for my palate (+the weather, etc.) as I can imagine.

April 29, 2019 - Color: Translucent ruby
Nose: classic Cameron barnyard funk, leather, river rock, touch of graphite and rose petal.
Palate: medium acid, fleshy texture which develops into a voluptuously rich mouthfeel, blackberry, cherry cola, pomegranate, and a touch of cigar box
with time it develops a silky elegance and oily texture. Can't wait to see how these do with time.1 person found this helpful Comment
