March 18, 2023 - Nose is fresh with licorice notes, strawberry and subtle cinnamon notes. On palate this is super fine and elegant, tannins are so finely grained, giving it a nice grip. Mouth feel of a black tea. Acidity is high and a bit demanding, but I had the feeling it gets more harmonious with 1-2h of air. Stellar wine and highly recommended

After one day open, acidity is harmonious. So, I recommend decanting currently or wait 5+ years.

September 1, 2019 - Grosse Gewächse Presentation (Conservatorium Hotel, Amsterdam, NL): Retailer tasting, brief note. Transparent and precise, more power than the Bienenberg and also a bit more oak, altogether more ambitious, nothing out of place, needs a few more years.

February 2, 2019 - I saw this beauty on a Restaurant menu for a very reasonable price and therefore, despite its youth, I couldn’t resist. Silky tannin, racy acidity and a wonderful texture. Good length. Classic German Pinot, but in a perfect way. Can be tried now with some decant, but I am sure, that patience will be highly rewarded. 91-92++
