  April 7, 2020 - I enjoyed the non-tasting elements of the wine out of the bottle, color, nose.....first taste took me to where I wanted to be with the wine, crisp, balanced, enough citrus from the sauvignon blanc but the dryness and balance brought by the semillon took me to a couple trips to Italy and white wines from the past whose memories were easy to conjure up.
  The wine looks light gold colored.

  January 18, 2020 - Having previously drunk and liked the 2018 (qv) I was keen to try this. But the earlier vintage doesn't come across to me as quite so well-balanced. It certainly benefits from a little air and to be not too cold (maybe 10-12 degrees). The nose is nice stone fruit and minerality, but the plate for me is a little heavy on the acidity; it seems that the semillon moderates the sauvignon blanc less in this 2017 than in the 2018.
  
  It's still a nice wine though - rather crisp, and with a lingering finish.
  
  But at US$22 the QPR isn't anything special.
