March 23, 2021 - Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent): The wine is quite reductive in the nose, flinty with lemon leaves and citrus fruit.
In the palate, the wine shows reductive notes again, medium acidity, citrus, lime, lemon, medium body, medium to high acidity, medium finish
April 10, 2020 - Fairly dry, M+ acid, tropical with pineapple, mango, lime. Also straw, grass, almond. ~6/10
March 3, 2020 - Tart and tight; some lemony apricot; still green; wait.
October 24, 2019 - Average. Lots of acidity. Better w food. Better first day.
May 5, 2019 - Green; simple; more time needed.
May 2, 2019 - Lovely nose of pear, grapefruit and fresh guava. Very crisp acidity, with no discernible oak. Really lovely and elegant, but the level of acidity calls for food. Terrific value at under $15.
January 28, 2019 - Not wife’s cup of tea but I like it. Grassy yet sweet. Mixture of tastes. Maybe match with a variety of foods. We shall see.
Acacado toast I think worked but not perfect
December 28, 2018 - Straw. Intense and complex (for its pedigree): Green tea, thyme, pear, citrus. On the palate it shows strong acidity without loosing balance, ending on citrus, melon and minerals. It just fits. 92-93 from Suckling, 91 Falstaff
5/12/15/8. This is going to age well for a decade or a bit more in a cool cellar, but it is ready to drink in this nice fresh youthful stage.
October 25, 2018 - This is a cut above the typical white Bordeaux. It has an unusual herbal nose, perhaps thyme or rosemary, with good acidity and savory flavors of lemon and lime pith and a distinct minerality that reminds me a of a Loire chenin blanc or a Muscadet. It might be able to age, but I would drink this young while the flavors are fresh.
January 11, 2018 - light yellow, dry citrus aroma, sharp body, gravel and green. Smooth and polished the second night.
