January 13, 2024 - Opened and decanted for 30 minutes, drank over ensuing hour+. Nose at open had a slight funk but blew off very quickly. Poured ruby with a hint of brown, some mild bricking. Certainly looked its age on opening. I think this is in a good window but the air definitely helped and the wine opened and evolved with time.
On the palate, initially dominated by tart cherry but opening up to rich, deep red fruits, with plum, cocoa, dark chocolate and notes of tobacco and cigar box. Alcohol was notable, particularly at open, but not overpowering.
A very enjoyable but very dense, serious wine.
January 13, 2024 - Nose has alcohol that mellows out. Lots of Cabernet / dark fruit. Some chocolate.
Flavor is very rich - lots of plum and oak. Some sweetness throughout. Tannins are very well integrated.
After being open for about an hour, more cherry, and tobacco coming through.
Lovely wine.
August 14, 2023 - Chocolate covered cherries, rich and full bodied wine. Too bad this winery is closing. Made tasty vino at a bargain price.

June 5, 2022 - Richer and better balanced on day two.
April 9, 2022 - Not sure where we got this, but very good. Rich cocoa, balanced tannins, rich and chewy, fruit in back.
June 26, 2021 - Great wine. Drink up as it seems to be maturing fast.

March 19, 2021 - Horribly corked--possibly the most severe I've had. Pulled the cork and gagged. Refund provided by Last Bottle.
September 4, 2020 - PnP excellent right out of the bottle. Big earthy and fruity nose. Forward red and black fruits, raspberry, blackberry, currant, tobacco, soft tannins, long finish. Probably at its peak.
