May 9, 2020 - Not the opache monster I feared. This Carmenere/Cab Sauv blend from Apalta has class, and really came alive after a long decant.
N: Brooding, dense, herbaceous eucalyptus and prunes, blackberries.
P: Full, but measured, not a simple fruit bomb. Sour blueberry bublegum, blackcurrant reduction, confected plum, sweet spice, black pepper, wild berries, almost medicinal. Grainy plum skin med tannins, bramble, savoury bark. Med+ acid spine.
F: Fresh, long, vibrant. -

January 1, 2020 - Amazing full bodied wine. Black berry and vanilla. Great finish. Wish I had another bottle.
