March 16, 2021 - 14.5% abv. Light, brilliant gold color. Honeydew melon, peaches, white flowers. Med plus weight, creamy, minimal acidity. Fruit is quite muted on palate: passion fruit, lanolin, tropical creamsicle, ginger, watermelon. Finish cuts off abruptly after 20 sec leaving just sensation of cream. Not worth QPR, this vintage anyways. And fwiw, I’ll take Aaron Pott’s viogniers over most that are made in the Rhone.

July 13, 2019 - Good floral fruity viognier, serve well chilled!

  • MattMauldin Likes this wine:

June 22, 2019 - Blind Tasting of Santa Barbara County 2017 Viogniers and a ringer: Notes of orange zest, spices, mineral, florals - nice aromatics. Rich palate with very nice finesse. Well-layered flavors. Full middle density with good depth and length on the finish.

March 8, 2019 - Orange galore on the nose, fine, playful fruit, light, mineral - for short term drinking, this is not build to last

November 20, 2018 - Understated nose, though classic Viognier; subtle, finesseful. Expensive.
