    July 15, 2020 - 🏅 Rating 87/100 (3,7⭐)

Another Mersault style wine. Oaky, nutty, sunflower seeds, sunny wine. Orchard fuits, pears. Nose suggests it is more heavy wine than it appears on the palate. Light weight and somewhat flat on the palate. Good mouth watering acidity.

Doesn't meet my high expectations for this Domaine in this particular vintage.

June 29, 2020 - Lemon yellow. Effusive lemon curd aromatics, medium full palate with rich fruit and zesty acidity. Not much complexity, but a pleasant and characteristic white burgundy experience. Decent value for $20.

June 8, 2020 - Restrained nose of lemon, cream, some tropical fruit, and a hint of salinity. Medium bodied, with refreshing acidity on the palate to go alongside the fruit. Finish is a bit short. This is well-made and certainly serviceable, if not particularly complex or memorable. I would agree with other commenters that there are better values out there.

June 3, 2020 - An inviting nose of lemon, orange peel, a slight touch of reduction and lightly toasted oak. Medium-bodied with good yellow fruit and a surprisingly buttery impression on the palate, culminating in a decisive minerally, tart and acid-driven finish. I suspect this will continue to evolve and integrate both the reductive notes and the oak with more time and should provide sound drinking for another 5-7 years. Maison or Domaine, Boillot whites almost always punch above their weight

April 21, 2020 - Bought this over successive vintages as a “house” burgundy.

    Pale, bright gold.

Lemon peel, green apple and something vegetal/damp leaves to the nose. Hint of oak but little minerality.

Watery mouthfeel despite 13% alcohol. Tastes confirms the nose: sour green fruit, citrus peel, nice acidity. Little left to resolve so wonder how much cellaring will add.

Short finish as others have noted, sour but pleasantly so.

Overall, really nice but not remarkable, which is exactly what it sets out to be. Have already bought the 18.

Another bottle and a little different. PnP so nose restrained but melon and chalky minerality to the fore. With time citrus, green apple, cream, chalk, citrus peel sour finish. Nice acidity. @£25 in thy he UK so very good value for high quality wine making
