April 5, 2021 - Sweet smoke, spice, and bramble fill the nose. The palate is medium weight and cool, with tinging acidity, and flavors of dark raspberries, with rich, licorice-inflected earth. Brooding yet fresh.

March 27, 2021 - Deep ruby color. On nose green and vegetal. Dry, rounded acidity, mellow tannins, on palate cherries, blackcurrants. Medium body. Uneven balance. Medium finish. Palate exceeded expectations on nose.

July 30, 2020 - We really enjoyed this. It had a minerally, wet sidewalk, gunpowder nose and a similar flavor with some raspberry added. Pleasantly bright acidity. It paired very well with a Peruvian roasted chicken. Good value and very enjoyable food wine

    April 9, 2020 - Needs a good decant.
    Sinewy tannins.
Dried earth, dried fruit and dried herbs up front. Juicy fresh fruits through mid palate. Somewhat ferric texture.
Relatively easy drinking, food friendly wine.

Not sure much to be gained through ageing. Maybe another 1-2

September 3, 2019 - Decanted and took about 1.5-2h to open up. Herbs, baking spices, cherry and blackberry aromas. Palate with nice bright juicy blackberries, some herbs, earth and minerals and prominent tannins. Not too complex but cheery and bright with enough tannic backbone to give notice. Good concentration and enough depth to be noticed. A nice weeknight wine with enough material to grab your attention.
