October 20, 2019 - Medium ruby. Aromas of medium intensity- graphite, wet stones, black cherries, blackberries. On the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acidity, medium plus fine tannins- hint of green, medium alcohol, medium plus body with flavors of medium plus intensity of black cherries, blackberries, toast, clove. Finish is medium. Wine demonstrates balance of acidity, tannins, alcohol and fruit, intensity on the aroma and palate. The nose and palate demonstrate both primary (fruit, mineral, graphite), secondary (spice, toast) flavors and aromas so there is complexity. Finish is disappointing at medium and there is a hint of greeness to the tannins. The wine is good and can be held another 3 years. Good QPR.
