August 2, 2023 - Corked, and not a half dose either.

After checking, this is the third corked bottle that I encounter in Beaujolais (the other two were from Desvignes and Lapallu). Three out of 138 is not a good record, well over twice my overall average which stands to date at 15 corked bottles out of 1438 recorded tastings, so a little over 1%; always annoying but far less widespread than what some people think.

June 11, 2022 - Benefitted from an hour in a decanter. Really tasty - dark fruits on the nose, medium plus acid. Well balanced. Good QPR.

February 11, 2022 - Super aromatic, lifted, lovely. Lacks a touch of stuffing on the mid palate, quite acid driven, but a lovely bottle nonetheless

February 11, 2021 - No notable change from 15 months ago when I last opened a bottle. Nice Burgundian/Foillard, earthy, spicy, savory pungency, with darkish fruit and flowers. Good acidity. Light on tannins. Good stuff, quite enjoyable.

November 20, 2020 - Frais et léger, simple et un brin court.
Saveurs de fraises avec un peu d'épices.
Assez acide avec une finaletrop courte.

November 20, 2020 - 13% alcohol. Short cork with minimal inscription "mis en bouteille dans la région de production", plus the vintage; some tartrate deposits (white, strangely). The colour is medium with no sign of ageing.
The nose has good intensity with red berries and liquorice. The mouth adds strawberry-like flavours (not in an in-your-face way) and excellent acidity, not piercing.
Overpowered by grilled quail, not a pairing to be repeated. Much better on its own afterwards.
A textbook fragrant Beaujolais without any of the flaws often associated with the "nature" fraternity.
Very good but not in a class of its own as some people contend. A repeat purchase depending on price (currently 14€, which is about right).

November 7, 2020 - Really tasty and well balanced gamay. Went perfectly with suckling pig. Ripe red fruits, a little spice, barnyard/wet hay bouquet, but delicious to quaff. @Bonito St Barth’s

July 19, 2020 - Enjoyable Beaujolais. It's not the deepest or most complex but it's an excellent drinker and is great with food.
