January 22, 2020 - 2nd time tasting with similar thoughts 93/94. This is quite good, smooth, well balanced but a little softer than Torrin or Booker syrah's which I absolutely love.

December 7, 2019 - Melka: Perfumed and floral, the front end of this purple popper follows up with notes of blackberry, blueberry, red/purple plum, and a hit of charcuterie. A Cote Rotie interpretation from the famed Paderewski Vineyard, the 2016 Melka Syrah almost fools you inot believing there’s a little Viognier co-ferment in here. Not so sayeth Melka; 100% Syrah it is. Less heat here than the Saxums of the world, but with plenty of undulating power and drive. Signature Melka smoothness. 94-95+ points.
