September 23, 2022 - I think this has now peaked.

January 7, 2021 - Still thick out of the half bottle, but better than a year ago. Almost resembling a BCS.

June 9, 2020 - As part of my continuing efforts to pare down my cellar during quarantine, I drank this side-by-side with the 2019 vintage. I've long held that this is the best version of this beer that The Bruery has ever done, and it absolutely stands up. A hint of woodiness from the barrel on the nose, and a first sip that is all chocolate, rich and decadent, and unexpectedly smooth for 15%. Just as good as I remember and aging quite gracefully, I'd happily grab more of this if I'm able!

    January 12, 2019 - Couldn't drink it. Switched to a Washington Bordeaux-blend instead.
Update: much better 24 hours later.
