May 24, 2022 - Bottle purchased from winery upon release and kept in conditioned since delivery (probably in 2007). Popped and poured. Fully mature; perhaps a bit past prime. Still drinking well, but I suspect 12 to 15 years of age is the sweet spot for the Rattlesnake.
July 1, 2017 - Finally drank this after many years of waiting. So worth it. Beautiful fruits and depth.
August 25, 2014 - Lean.
June 10, 2014 - This wine has not developed well for me.
April 3, 2012 - A great BIG petite. Nice fruit and tannin balance and a great drinker.
February 4, 2012 - May have been corked
November 4, 2011 - This is the last bottle and the very best of the lot. Deepest color and lingering nose. Plenty of fruit and so smo.oth
July 2, 2011 - Excellent wine--so-so food; you can't win 'em all.
May 29, 2011 - Very dark and inky color. Twigs and forest floor on the nose with the hints of dark berry. On the initial taste there is the suggestions of fenel, cilantro and tar. This fades to ripe berries - blue and boysenberry. Very chewy wine, some said granular. We all enjoyed it immensely. Cool-aid for adults.
April 16, 2011 - vincent Arroya never disappoints. Tonight was the first one tried of the 2005 Rattlesnake and it was delicious. The flavors and smoothness just rested on the tongue and went down so smooth. There are wine enthusiasts with better vocabularies, but I fell in love without knowing all of the words.
