October 23, 2022 - Terrific, with excellent concentration and a long finish. Notes of raspberry, bright blackberry and spice. Delicious and a keeper.
September 12, 2022 - Aerated and then let it sit for 15 minutes in the glass. Wonderful!
January 23, 2022 - Dinner party with Tim and Mary.
August 26, 2021 - Medium weight red, light rim, no tawny.
Smooth but expressive, deep ripe berries, soft florals, hint of cherry stone, some tar spice.
Silky, pure red and blue berries, plums, raspberry, sweet fruits, lightly dark spiced, gorgeous Sangiovese richness.
June 1, 2021 - Dark cherry and earth on the nose; the palate still had good cherry fruit with resolved tannins and balanced acidity. The fruit was *slightly* dried out, but the pleasure was still there. My only real criticism--and this is coming from the perspective that it should have been the best wine in a tasting of "lesser" wines--the finish was kinda short.
May 7, 2021 - the last of my bottles and certainly much better than the bottle drunk last year - most certainly mature but with just enough fruit to prevent the wine drying out - interesting and quite delicious!
March 20, 2021 - Was not as impressive from Coravin last time I tasted, but per @oldwines' recommendation this time I decanted the rest of the bottle and it was gorgeous. Still very alive, and went beautifully with homemade pizzas. Enjoy!
March 13, 2021 - Drank from Coravin. Seems to be nearing the end of its prime. Gonna pop the rest of this bottle and drink up!
August 2, 2020 - Stunning! At it's prime. Soft finish.
April 12, 2020 - feel that this is well past its prime - dried out - some complexity but with no discernible fruit to balance - not rated
