June 26, 2021 - 4th Saturday Group (R&S's): Double decanted off its sediment approx 3.5 hrs before dinner. Youthful dark color with notes of chocolate and black fruit. Most of the tannin has integrated, leaving a plush full wine with black fruit, chocolate and cherry cordial flavors. Lingering finish. Excellent.

May 11, 2019 - Tasting: Duckhorn Vineyards (Duckhorn Vineyards): All merlot, aged in 75% new French oak, from a vineyard at 1700 feet elevation on Howell Mountain. Notes of raspberry, plum, chocolate and macerated red berry. Full-bodied and plush- this has a terrific presence on the palate- with flavors of chocolate, red and blue fruit and baking spices. Impressive.
