If you're looking for a blueberry Cali Syrah milkshake, this is not it. Very dry, savory, meaty, olive - no jammy fruit here. Could easily be confused for a Northern Rhone. Good balance and intriguing flavor profile. Really enjoyed this with a Ribeye sandwich. My first Desire Lines wine and I'm really impressed. -

August 27, 2023 - You start to feel the age, but still many years left. The animalistic notes dominates a little to much to my tasting. However still lots of fruits. Tannins are gentle and rounded. Best with food.

February 13, 2023 - Beautiful Syrah and the best I've had from Cody. Early WOTY Candidate. Aromas of blackberry, smoke, herbs de Provence, pepper, and peony on the nose; tastes of blackberry, cherry, and pepper on the palate. Acidity adds great lift and length to the finish.

February 12, 2023 - Super Bowl. 90 minute decant. Smoky nose with plum and a touch of pecan. Palate of black raspberry that’s not quite ripe, smoked meat, blackberry, black licorice, and notes of road tar and espresso. Finish starts with a long note of iron ore tht rolls over medium tannins with a blackberry and a dried black fruit note with a touch of oak. Very balanced.
