December 16, 2023 - Took 30-60 min to open up and got better and better over a few hours. Very dark fruits, and a slight cola flavor. Good with chicken and mushrooms.
October 22, 2023 - Note taken 3 hours after opening. Darker side of the red fruit spectrum (think bing cherry to black cherry), cinnamon, clove, bits of loam. Initially really liked the balance but by hour 3 the acids are lean and lacking compared to the tannins.
June 3, 2023 - Great!
April 2, 2023 - Very enjoyable.
December 25, 2022 - Cranberry, rose pedals, white pepper and some baking spices. Leans a little acidic but overall paired well with a salmon dinner. Nice!
December 8, 2021 - Smells of vaporub and vinegar. Cork looks perfect. Something has gone afoul.
October 26, 2021 - Impressions as noted just 6 wks ago. Excellent with mildly spiced grilled chicken and pork. Guessing 2 to 3 more yrs at this level.
October 4, 2021 - Great now. Will also reward patience. Will try next bottle in a year.
September 17, 2021 - The 2017 BTF Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is drinking perfectly. Bright cherry, orange zest, black tea, wild roses, fresh acidity and ripe tannins with a moderately lingering finish.
September 7, 2021 - Red cherry, white pepper and green spice in outstanding balance. Overused "lithe" descriptor fits perfectly, very elegant and graceful with a super clean, appropriately brief finish, yet no sense of being short or shortchanged.
